| The theme of today's newsletter is Creating your own Information products. | ||
Welcome to all the new members who joined our group during this last week. One of my goals for 2008 was to create my own information product and I have been working very hard on completing this on my own. The prime reason for doing this is for me to be able to help you to do the same thing. The article today is the initial work that is needed to choose which product to create, and is the first in a series that will track my progress in developing my own product. A short break for this week's sponsor. |

This week's Article The first step in creating your own product is to find a niche market and to find a product that would fulfill a need within that market. I know that you have heard this many times over, but it really is critical that you do this first. Don't waste your time developing a product and then find a market to sell it to. If you think about it it is the logical way to gain the edge you need. You wouldn't try to sell turf to someone living in an apartment. The researching for a niche market does not need to be as difficult as you think. There are two choices. Follow the markets where the money is, or find a small niche market in one of your passions.
Armed with the two lists, or just one list, whichever type of market you choose, Money or Passion, the guide as to whether the market has money to buy your product is to check out the market in the Clickbank marketplace. If there are many digital products available then in all probability this market will sustain another product. As you review each product in the Clickbank results, note the title of the product. As you move through each of the markets, evaluate whether it has potential for you, and can provide you with some ideas for the type of product you could create. Once you find a particular market that you feel will work for you, then it is time to start researching it properly to find the product that you are going to develop. As you went through each market you made notes of the products already in the Clickbank marketplace. Look into the sales pages of these particular products and see what exactly is being provided. Make more notes as you move through the sales pages. Is there a something somewhere in this market that springs to mind that can provide better information than is currently available there. If so then this is a possible product for you. At this point it is time to check out for more details on your chosen product(s). This you can do by going to article directories to find articles on the subject of your proposed product. This will provide the backbone to your research. Probably the best directory is www.ezinearticles.com, but there are hundreds of article directories to choose from. Please remember that you read all the information that is available, then write it out in your own style. To plagiarize work from other authors is classified as unethical, illegal, and you will eventually get into trouble doing so. Look out for the next article in this series. |
