NEWBIES HELP Newsletter  -   Dated 10 July 2007  ♦  Issue # 728
The theme of today's newsletter is Article Marketing

Welcome to all the new members who joined our group during this last week.
We have continued our theme of article marketing again this week. It is definitely well worth the effort and if you apply some planning, it is not difficult to publish one article every week. The hidden benefit that comes from a consistent program of quality article marketing is the status that the writer attains within that particular subject, as well as the readers that inevitably follow rather than lead. And, yes, they will follow if they think you are anything of an expert in the things that interest them. Don't lose sight of this as it is an important part of gaining trust within your niche market.

  5. This week's tip.

This week's article.

Article Marketing is probably the cheapest method of generating traffic to your website that you can find. It certainly is one of the most effective methods of generating back links to your website. Over a period of time it can also create an "expert" status for the writer.

So, how does it work? Article directories are like a repository for articles of all types and sizes about varied subjects. Marketers use them to find content for their websites or newsletters. They will accept original articles only, which are formulated to the guidelines they set. Most importantly few directories permit any link within the body of the article. They do however allow links within the resource or author's box, which becomes an integral part of the article when published. Any duplication of the article from the directory must include the resource box.

The aim is to generate traffic through the link within your resource box. For each published article there will be a back link to your website. The higher the page rank of the article directory that publishes your article the better impact it will have on your own website's page rank. There are thousands of article directories on the Internet and if you were to submit an article to just 20 of them on a weekly basis you would get 20 back links per week to your website. If you continued on the weekly basis this could grow to as many as 1000 back links over a period of one year.

Here are some guides on some of the most commonly asked questions regarding Article Marketing.

  1. Submitting one article to several article directories - will this be considered duplicate content by the search engines?
It seems that the search engines consider the submitted articles as being the article directory's original work, therefore duplication is not applicable.
  2. Could I submit articles which I have already posted in my own web pages?
Since in item 1 above the article is considered by the search engines as the directory's own work, your website copy would therefore be classed as the duplicate, possibly resulting on your website being de-indexed.
  3. Is there a limit on the number of articles that I can submit?
The only restriction is that given by the article directory where they may restrict the number of articles submitted within a certain time frame, however, the majority have no such restrictions.
  4. ;
  5. Will my article be kept intact by people that use it on their websites or in their newsletters?
This is something that you can never be sure of. The best check for this is to regularly search for a unique phrase from one of your articles in Google. Check the results and see if your resource box is attached to the article. If not then contact the webmaster to correct the situation.
  6. Does article marketing really work? Yes it does work, but you will need to ensure:
    1. The subject of your article is interesting and that it caters to a wide audience.
    2. The title needs to make the audience want to read your article.
    3. Ensure the article is of good quality, and informative.

The whole process falls down if the article cannot retain the reader's attention. Good, interesting, quality information which is relevant to the niche market is what is required to ensure the success of your article marketing efforts.

  1. Step by step videos on traffic generation.

On the subject of traffic generation, article marketing is fully covered in these very simple to follow step by step instructional videos from Mike Cheney. I bought this product and I am using many of the methods demonstrated in my business and they are all working satisfactorily. They deal with the many ways to get traffic to your website and are very thorough. They are aimed at those just starting in business so be patient as the end result is well worth it. 2. If you are looking for content - look no further:

If you are looking for content for use with Adsense, this is the solution. It is an online membership site with over 240,000 articles in a large selection of topics. The program adds unique content in the form of "tips" that are added alongside the article, making them look unique to the search engines. The program creates a page which also includes Adsense that is strategically located for the best results. The articles generated can be exported in several formats - HTML, PHP, RSS2 feed, MySQL, and For Wordpress and Blogger blog. You really need to take a look at this one.

  3. Create your own unique articles with this tool

I'm sure that if you are like me, you are always struggling to come up with new content for your websites and blogs. Again, like me maybe you have tried every content spinner there is, but this one is far superior to those others. It is called Website Content Wizard. It is a tool you can use to create hundreds of pages of unique content in just seconds. It takes a little extra time with the first few articles, but then the software learns from what you are doing and will do it automatically for you in the future. The quality of the content produced is truly amazing. Just go here and look at the videos to see what I mean.

  4. This week's tip.

If you create an email course as a free gift in exchange for a name and email address, why not make money by selling the reprint rights of the ecourse to those people that would like to sell it. You could make more money by selling the master rights.

I hope that this week's issue was of interest to you, and maybe you found something that would be helpful in your own business. If so, I would appreciate any feedback you may have so that I can align future content to better suit your needs. Send them to [mailto:newsletter@newbieshelp.com]

Sincerely,
