Title: Affiliate Marketing - can I be successful without a domain
Many Internet Marketers will tell you that it is not possible to create a profitable business without your own website. A
shop window, so to speak. This basic rule is stressed even more in the case of Affiliate Marketing. In other words, without
your own website's shop window you are sending your potential customers to someone else's website shop window. However, the basis of Affiliate Marketing is that you are promoting someone else's product to effect a commission for yourself when a sale is made. So, why incur additional overhead costs by setting up your own website shop window, when in reality you are going to send the visitor from your shop window to the originally targeted product anyway. Good question, and the following is an attempt to evaluate the pros and the cons of this dilemma.
Even though it is true that having your own website can greatly improve your chances of success with an Affiliate Marketing
Business. Can it can be done without one? The answer of course is "yes" and if money is a stumbling block when you start an
Internet Business, then it is a viable alternative to the normal methods in order to get started.
The fundamentals of Affiliate Marketing are to find a quality product in your niche market within a good affiliate program.
The affiliate link is provided by the merchant, which you then promote by whatever means is possible to drive traffic to the
product through your affiliate link. Any resulting sales will pay you a commission. The affiliate link is tied to you through
a cookie sent at the time the link is clicked, so does it matter whether you send someone directly to the product site?
In actual fact there are some drawbacks to directly promoting Affiliate marketing links, as indicated below:
- Many people do not like buying through affiliate links and will change the link to exclude the affiliate ID and buy the product directly from the merchant.
- There are quite a lot of unscrupulous people on the Internet and they go one step further by removing your affiliate ID and replacing it with their own.
- If you promote the affiliate link within Google Adwords for example, they are degrading duplicate domain root names, which are shown in each affiliate link generated. When there are a lot of affiliates in competition for the same keyword Google will place the highest bid on the keyword in the higher listings while the others are demoted to the very lower level of the listings.
- You cannot generate an opt-in list - the merchant gets all these benefits.
- Although the product is good quality, in your opinion the sales page will not convert well, there is no way of remedying this without a landing page on your own domain.
The only real benefit of directly promoting your affiliate link is that your costs are reduced.
The absence of your own website will not stop you in your quest for online success. Most of the regular methods of driving
traffic to your affiliate link will work, which include Article Marketing, Forums, and Ezine Advertising, and so on. So if
your financial situation restricts your expenditure you can still start an Internet Business using Affiliate Marketing and
then as finances improve get your domain and hosting to expand your promotion possibilities even further.

Imagine having in excess of 100,000 affiliates promoting a product for you that you didn't even create?
Andrew Fox reveals in his "Dominating Clickbank" step-by-step video tutorial system how he used the power of Clickbank and Adwords to generate more than 40,000 unique visitors and in excess of $25,000 in sales. Please take a look -

5. This week's tip.
The most important aspect of your business to ensure success is to maintain the best possible communication with your visitors, as well as your list. The written word is far more powerful than you would appreciate at first. Simple, concise, truthful, and correctly written sales pages or emails will win every time over the fluff, the hype, and fanciful tripe that is often seen.,br>Put yourself in the shoes of the reader. If you were not impressed with your writings, how can you seriously think others will be enamored with it.
I hope that this week's issue was of interest to you, and maybe you found something that would be helpful in your own business. If so, I would appreciate any feedback you may have so that I can align
future content to better suit your needs. Send them to [mailto:newsletter@newbieshelp.com]
