Hi,
Welcome to all those who joined our group during the past week. Our aim is provide you with information and resources that will help you in starting and/or developing your Internet business.
Continuing from last week's article, this week we are looking at the "Types" of businesses that can be developed in an Internet based environment. Obviously, there are considerably more available than indicated in the article, but the prime opportunities are covered.
This week's contents:
- An article entitled "Start an Internet business - choosing the type of business"
- New to the Internet business world? - Interested in affiliate Marketing?
- Been in the business long? - Have you looked at Resell Rights?
- This weeks tip.
- Recommendation of the week - Why not take a look at the free Affiliate Classroom Magazine
- This week's article is entitled "Start an Internet business - choosing the type of business"
During the process if arriving at your decision to start an Internet Business you will need to decide on a niche market as well as a product that will be in great demand in that market. Obviously this requirement is a precursor to actually starting to create the business. A few of the types of business available are listed below.
Newcomers to the Internet business world generally arrive with no idea as to what type of business or product, that they would be interested in working with. Some ideas are shown below.
- You want to create an Online presence for your existing business.
- You already have a product or service and simply want to promote and sell it on the Internet.
- You have a special interest hobby that you would like to share with others.
- You have some items that you want to sell on an auction site – like E-Bay.
- You have ideas for products and want to develop them to sell on the Internet. (No physical product as yet.)
- Selling other peoples products through affiliate programs.
- You have no idea as to what you would like to sell at this point in time.
The majority of newcomers fall into the last category and will need to carry out some extensive research to find a niche and product that will suit them.
The best market for you is one that you have a little knowledge of, and which you would be enthusiastic about. Look at yourself and review what sort of subject enthuses you. It may be a sport, hobby, or job - or anything - even things you were interested in your youth. If this does not bear fruit, look at your family, your friends, or even your work mates. Usually something will present itself.
The reason for trying to find the basis for your business within your area of interest is that you will be more enthusiastic about the topic and be able to write enthusiastically on it as well. Obviously, this can be a great benefit to your business.
When researching the niche market it is important to define keywords to hone in on all aspects of the market. Look for shortcomings that are being queried about subjects within the niche. Collate all the shortcomings and see if you can find a product that will fix or resolve these deficiencies. Maybe it is a product that you could develop yourself. At the same time it is important to assess the competition in the niche market on the primary keyword that you have selected.
To start with the search will be general, but once you have decided on a niche and you have found the product you feel will fill some of the market deficiencies, then you can carry out an in-depth search to establish supply and demand in that niche market on the products that you have or hope to develop. Search on the product type or name and see just how much competition there is. Vary the search keywords that you search on and see what is different in the results.
Now you will need to look at what your potential competition is doing. Visit as many sites as you can and get ideas for what you will need to do to compete with them. Do not get disheartened because there are so many of them. Most of the results past the top thirty entries or three pages of Google really don't matter too much to you at this time.
Nobody said it would be easy when you decided to start an internet business. The research that you carry out is time consuming, but when you find what you are looking for, it is well worth the effort. Even if you do not find that elusive “golden egg” you will learn an immeasurable amount of information about the niche, which in itself is giving you a better grounding before getting started in your first online business.
- New to the Internet Business World?
Probably one of the most popular types of business is the one called Affiliate Marketing. If you are interested in becoming a top affiliate marketer, or even a Super Affiliate, then you really need to read this book called Affiliate Project X. It is a down to earth "How to do it" book and covers quite a number of unorthodox methods of creating profits from your affiliate promotions. I have read it twice now and I am using two of his techniques on affiliate products which I am promoting. The results have been remarkable and I have improved the sales per week on one product by 260%, while the other product has increased by 220%.
I recommend that anyone who is serious about making money with their affiliate promotions read and TAKE ACTION with this book. It has paid me back tenfold in the first 2 weeks.

- Been in the business long?
Another very popular type of business is that of selling other peoples products but in this case buying the Resell Rights to the product.
"Resell Rights For Newbies" from Liz Tomey and John Hostler. It is actually a complete system designed to teach new marketers how to start and build their own Internet business from scratch,
using resell rights products, and believe it or not, it is still free of charge to join.
The beauty of 'Resell Rights For Newbies' is that it is a complete system for profits with resell rights products. It is a step by step program that covers all aspects of setting up a business based on Resell Rights in video tutorials, ebooks, and a web based tool kit.
I will not get into the detail here - please go visit the site while it is still free, at

- This week's tip -
One of the most important aspects of being successful in any business is to TAKE ACTION. The most common fault of many Internet Marketers is to get excited about a product, then sit on it and not take the action necessary action to get it promoted and start reaping the benefits.
- This weeks recommendation.
Staying on the theme of affiliate marketing, I have found the Affiliate Classroom Magazine to be most valuable in the articles and tips and tricks it provides. It is available free of charge from the link below:

I hope that you have enjoyed the issue this week and were able to find something useful for your own business venture. As you can see, this issue includes a new item called "Tip of the week". I have included this as many of you requested it. There is only one more week for your comments regarding what content you would like to see in the newsletter. After the next issue, it will be issued in both HTML and Text format.
