Articles/website content and what they mean to your businessIt is a widely known secret that website content is a key to the success of your business. Not only is it necessary to keep your visitors happy, but in so doing it keeps the Search Engines happy also, and they can deliver additional FREE traffic. One of the features of good content is good informational articles. Of course this does not mean any article. It obviously needs to be about the general theme of your website or about a particular subject within that theme. One drawback with articles is the duplication that occurs all over the Internet. It doesnt matter whether you buy supposed PLR articles, there may well be a hundred copies of the bundle you just bought already in circulation. The Search Engines do not like duplication and will rank you down, or if the duplication is excessive, may not even rank you at all. Original articles that you have written yourself are the best as there are no other copies of the article posted on any another website or blog. Do not fret about the Private Label Rights (PLR) articles that you bought. Read them thoroughly and create a brand new set of articles with the information, completely rewritten by your good self. It must be remembered that articles are a means to an end. In other words they are on your web pages to entice visitors to come and read them. The visitor is looking for a specific search term (keyword) which relates to a product or a service that they are interested in. The Search Engines search their databases for the websites that they have ranked on that particular keyword and then displays them in descending order - highest ranking first - then on down the line. You therefore need to ensure
that your articles are properly seeded with appropriate keywords relevant to the subject of the article as well as relevant to the theme of your website. The webpage where the article or content is displayed needs to also have the keywords included in the meta tag area of the HTML <head> code. What is interesting is that the Search Engines dont just rank the Home Page, but will check all the pages on the website, including pages of articles. So, if the keyword searched by the visitor happens to be on one of your article pages, you could find the visitor reading your article.
