One of the most important activities for a successful business is to generate as much traffic to the website as possible for the lowest cost possible. Search Engines is a possible source of free traffic to your website. As no doubt you have read, in order to get indexed by the search
engines there is a need to satisfy their criteria, especially to
achieve a high position in their search lists. This is called
ranking. Please do not misinterpret the meaning of the word “content” as there are several meanings for this word. In this case the definition of the word “content” is capacity, (with synonyms filling, loading, measure, packing, size, and volume). The words that you write in your website are the content that is
being referred to here. Articles are content. They are the backbone
of your website and will primarily provide value to your visitors. So, your first obligation is to your visitors. The content of your website has got to be relevant to the theme of the website. The articles should therefore be consistent with the theme, and should also reflect the product that you are promoting. A website with articles about toy soldiers will not attract anyone looking to buy your book on potted plants. A website without articles is like a staging post to other websites.
A visitor will find nothing of interest and hit the “back” button on
their browser, or click on a link away from your website. If there is
nothing of interest for your visitors, why should they stay or come
back. Just as importantly, if there is no interest in your website
for the visitors, then it follows that there will be no interest in
your website for search engine spiders and the site will be ranked in
the “oblivion” area at page one thousand or higher. Please understand that there are literally a millions of websites on
the World Wide Web and a large portion of them have products to offer. Author Derek Jones - http://newbieshelp.com |
